Dr. Teboho Seobi: PresidentDr. Teboho Seobi obtained her MBCHB from the University of Cape Town. She qualified as an ophthalmologist at the University of Witwatersrand. She has completed t the Orbital, Lacrimal and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Training Course at the European School for Advanced Studies in Ophthalmology. She headed the Glaucoma unit at St John’s Eye Hospital located at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Johannesburg Academic Hospital. She headed up the Paediatric Ophthalmology Unit and Oculoplastic and Orbital Unit at Charlotte Maxkeke Johannesburg Academic Unit. She is currently working in the Paediatric Ophthalmology Unit at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital. She has a special interest in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Orbital and Oculoplastic Surgery. | ||
Dr. Dory Neu-Ner TreasurerDr. Dory Neu-Ner is an ophthalmic surgeon located in Fourways. He completed his medical degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, and then specialised in Ophthalmology. After qualifying he worked as a consultant ophthalmologist at Helen Joseph Hospital for 2 years. He opened his own private practice at Life Fourways Hospital in 2010 where he is currently practising. He is committed to providing the highest level of care to his patients. He has completed training at the European Vitreo-Retinal Training School in Bremen, and Moorefield’s Eye Hospital in London. He has a special interest in micro-incision cataract surgery with premium IOLs, retinal diseases including age related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He also provides ROP services to several Neonatal ICUs in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. | ||
Dr. Bongi Mofokeng: Sectretary
Dr Bongi Mofokeng completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pretoria. She specialised in Ophthalmology at the university of the Witwatersrand. She has completed training in the management of Retinoblastoma at Groote Schuur Hospital.
Dr Bongi Mofokeng is a qualified Ophthalmologist with a keen interest in Cornea and Paediatric Ophthalmology. Currently she heads the Paediatric Ophthalmology Department at Charlotte Maxeke academic Hospital in Johannesburg. She recently started the Charlotte Maxeke Retinoblastoma Management unit. |
